Looking for Godparents
Lisa Needham has a request for any readers who are Godparents.
She has been invited to an interview as a researcher for Songs of Praise, and in advance of the interview she has to submit some possible stories that could go into a programme about Godparents. She is therefore trying to find some people to speak to who have interesting Godparent stories. It may be that becoming a Godparent has made them re-assess their own faith, maybe it's someone who is about to become a Godparent for the first time and they are thinking about what it means to them, or maybe it's someone whose role as a Godparent changed dramatically due to difficult circumstances.
She thinks it's a really interesting idea for a programme but finding people is quite difficult as it's something that is very personal to people. With Network Leeds linking so many Christians she wonders whether you might know of anyone who has an interesting story that they'd be happy to talk about. It is only for her interview and she has no idea whether there will be a programme about Godparents coming up soon but any help/advice that you could offer would be very much appreciated.
