March 10 Year Celebrations!
The year of celebration events began with a party for over 300 children. The excited party goers who arrived on 6 double decker buses enjoyed games, singing, dancing and cake. Fun was had by all; Elton aged 8 said “this was the best day ever”. There was a special appearance from the Lord Mayor of Leeds who thanked the wonderful team of over 100 volunteers for all their hard work and dedication over the last 10 years. She commented “I am absolutely thrilled to be here and see how wonderful Kidz Klub is and to share in your special morning”.
In the evening supporters and volunteers who have journeyed with Kidz Klub over the last 10 years shared in an evening of celebration and story telling. Charlotte, now aged 17 told the many people who attended how she had enjoyed her time at Kidz Klub as a child “I loved Kidz Klub so much, I was sad when I was too old to come but then I started to volunteer with younger people. Now I work and volunteer at Kidz Klub and it’s the best thing ever.”
