Vicars Cafe Bistro
Vicars Cafe Bistro is a Social Enterprise Cafe in Saltaire Village, set up by two Vicars, Andy Bowerman and Jimmy Hinton three years ago in aim to create community and build relationship. We have different groups within the Cafe throughout the week  and month. We have a main cafe area and a lounge upstairs called the Red Room. We support the Red Fund a charity working to aid HIV and Aids in Zimbabwe. As much as possible our goods are sourced locally or fair traded with cakes baked on site and food prepared fresh for each customer. We are always keen to hear new ideas of how to create community within the area.
As a Cafe we are open Monday, Wednesday - Saturday between 10-5pm. And as a 5 course meal Bistro on Friday and Saturday nights from 7:30pm (booking is essential for the evenings).
Within the Red Room, Every Monday and Thursday between 10-12noon we have a mums and Baby's group, with Every Wednesday between 10-12noon Knitterati use the lounge to knit and natter. Every 3rd Saturday on the Month Cover to Cover, Vicars own book club, meets to discuss the book of the month over coffee and cake (for an all inclusive price of £5 per person).
The Red Room is also available for hire, for business meetings training sessions etc. We have Wi-Fi, a projector and flip chart on site to aid your meeting.

Volunteers needed!!!
We are always looking for volunteers who are supportive of the Christian Ethos, and who are keen to support the work of the cafe in a variety of ways throughout the week be it once a week or once a month. Be it serving in the cafe, washing up in the kitchen, praying in our prayer room, wiping tables etc. Please contact Ruth Fisher 01274 597818 for more details.
Urgent Volunteers needed
9-19th September we are looking for extra hands on deck, even just as a one-off, for help during the Saltaire Festival. We have lots of plans throughout the festival for Music to be played on the street, circus acts on one morning, and art work occurring on the window of Vicars and lots of other activities throughout the week. We are looking for MUSICIANS who would like to play outside the cafe for a period of 30mins just for one session. we are looking for 11-20 musicians so we can have at least one person a day, two if more come forward between 11-11:30am or 2:30-3pm. Also we are looking for other people to work within the cafe, whether your abilities be washing up, serving customers or just praying for the day. We would love your abilities.
