Music in the Air III will be a concert at St Andrew’s, Roundhay, United Reformed Church in Shaftesbury Avenue in Roundhay in Leeds on Saturday 27 November at 7.30 pm. There will be a licensed bar with soft drinks and beer and wine. Tickets cost
£5 for adults and £2.50 for children and are available from Sheana Dudley on 0113 237 0389.
Sarah Baker, a regular attender at St Andrew’s and Head of Guiseley Music Centre, is the event organiser. She says:
“This will be a concert by all ages for all ages. Everyone is welcome. It’s all happening as part of St Andrew’s YOT appeal to raise funds for our new youth worker, who started work last week, restore the organ, and pay for the toilet refurbishment that has been completed.
“There will be the young virtuoso harpists Jacob and Tilly Nicholls. Performing on the harp for the first time at a St Andrew’s concert will be Alice Rose Baker, my own daughter, who is only 6 years old.
“Guiseley Music Centre Concert Band are looking forward to their return because they have been working very hard on the joint finale which will be played with the St Andrew’s Organist Una Robertson. Also looking forward to their debut performance at St Andrew’s are the Music Centre Clarinet Ensemble, who were inspired to play Caprice when they heard the piece at the first Music in the Air event.
“We are all so looking forward to sharing these wonderful talents from God and raising money to help St Andrew’s work in the community.
“It will be great fun. We look forward to seeing you.”
