Say YES to religious liberty and NO to the Defamation of Religions Resolution
We've had an incredible response in the UK with over 94,500 signatures to the Right to Believe petition. Thank you if you added your name and support.
So we are very close to our target of 100,000 signatures - and the campaign ends next Tuesday, 30 November. You can help us over the finishing line!
If you've not already done so, please add your name today.
And if you have, you can help by using this link to urge your friends to add their name.
They will be joining with thousands of others across the world - this has been a global petition. Open Doors colleagues in other national offices have been hard at work. The result? An astonishing 275,000 signatures from at least 75 countries!
The petition will be delivered at the beginning of December. We will keep you updated about the delivery and also the vote of the UN General Assembly on the Resolution, but in the meantime, please keep praying.
Members of Parliament
Help make every Member of the UK Parliament aware of the Defamation of Religions Resolution
Over 4,000 emails have been sent to MPs asking that they sign EDM 864 about the 'United Nations Resolution on Defamation of Religions'. As a result most MPs have been alerted to the Resolution and know that it is a matter of concern to their constituents. 99 MPs have signed EDM 864 thanks to your emails.
It is not too late to email your MP, to make them aware of the level of concern felt about the Defamation of Religions Resolution! Ask your MP to sign Early Day Motion* 864 today. This campaign will also close on 30 November.
Thank you if you have already contacted your MP, and if you have taken the time to send details of your MP's response.
With thanks for your ongoing action and prayers in support of the RIGHT TO BELIEVE,
Alice J

*An Early Day Motion is a kind of petition that MPs can sign to indicate their concern and support for a specific issue. Traditionally government ministers, and often shadow ministers, do not sign them – but all are aware of them. EDM 864 was published on 19 October.
