Action request: ask your MP to promote poverty awareness in Parliament

www.church-poverty.org.uk/closethegap

1 December 2010

A new All-Party Parliamentary Group is being formed in association with Church Action on Poverty, the Salvation Army and Oxfam. We want your MP to be a part of it!

The first meeting will be on Wednesday 15 December, so we need you to let your MP know about it as soon as possible.

Send your MP an email now to encourage them to join the new All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poverty.

All-Party Parliamentary Groups focus on a certain issue and meet to discuss the topic at hand in an informal manner. They bring together all parliamentarians interested in a subject and provide a focal point for charities engaging in a dialogue with politicians. This is an excellent opportunity to make sure the voices of people in poverty are heard in Parliament, so we need you to act now:

Email your MP today!

Best wishes

Helen McNally, MP Accountability Network Coordinator
