Living Oasis: Latest on Move
Stage two of Living Oasis vision set to launch in Leeds with new year opening of community coffee house and Christian resource centre in Albion Street
77 Albion Street will become the first Living Oasis shop to realise the full vision the Nationwide Christian Trust had when taking over 19 former Wesley Owen stores in early 2010. With a family friendly coffee house, Christian resource centre and meeting rooms the new premises will be an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. Supported by the local church community the store will also be a base for missional work, bringing light to the heart of the city centre.
Key elements of the new Living Oasis store will be:
 Coffee house providing (where possible) locally sourced high quality products
Christian resource centre giving access to a full range of books, media and gifts
Children’s soft play area
Meeting and counselling rooms suitable for small groups of up to 30
Premises available to local churches for innovative mission events
The current Leeds Living Oasis store finished trading on Christmas Eve. We plan to open the new resource centre at the end of January 2011 and the coffee house and meeting rooms at the end of February.
