Eden Network Update: January 11

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year from the Eden Network! Well 2011 is now in full swing and we have certainly hit the ground running this year.

The big news is that Eden is going on tour! Along with our friends from New Wine we are hosting a series of events designed to help people connect with the Eden vision. The Urban Impact Tour will feature a dynamic blend of worship, drama from In Yer Face, teaching and ministry with an emphasis on encountering God and creating space in our busy lives to hear afresh his challenge to be a participator in what he is doing in our world - especially in the toughest neighbourhoods. Gifted Eden worship-leader Andy Smith and his band will be at all the events along with Eden's founder, Andy Hawthorne, who runs Eden's parent charity The Message Trust. Senior leaders from New Wine will host each evening.

Extra Ordinary Movies

We have been working away on a series of short films capturing some of the amazing stories from our Eden Team Members across the country. We hope to release the first film in February and to continue releasing additional films throughout the year. These will be great for use in small groups to start discussion and our hope is that they will go viral as an inspiration and a provocation to others to join this movement into the city.

Across the nation

Dan Haigh our London Regional Director is recruiting like crazy at the moment aiming to have Eden Team Leaders in place for four new Eden projects to launch over the next few months. We're doing well and in January confirmed that Alex Hall will join Eden Bow as Eden Team Leader. Dan will be hosting Exploring Eden events for those interested in finding out more about joining Eden in the london region on 17th and 24th Feb and St Augustines, South Kensington, email Dan for more info on london@eden-network.org

In the North East we are continuing to recruit and the teams in Blyth, Byker and Easterside begin to impact their communities. Phil Sherratt our church planter in Blyth is encouraged to see some great people beginning to gather around his vision for a new Eden church community in Blyth. Two of our teams in the North East are partnerships with Elim and so they will be hosting a stand at The Gathering, Elim's youth conference on 25th - 27th Feb.

Eden Humberside is a new developing region for us and we're really excited to have Carl Belcher now on board as the Eden Regional Director. He is already based in Humberside and will be developing the regional board and local teams in the area. This has been a clear God connection so please pray for us as we continue to follow His guidance.

Please pray today for the expansion of Eden across the country, for great wisdom and for many more people to hear God's call to relocate their lives for the good of His kingdom.
