Political powerhouse Ann Widdecombe has joined the fight to save religious education in our secondary schools this week, along with church leaders, academics and a number of MPs.

In support of the RE.ACT campaign- putting religious education at the heart of humanities, Miss Widdecombe said:
"Children are being deprived not only of religious teaching but of the opportunity to understand their history and culture. Biblical illiteracy, for example, makes it difficult to appreciate fully a great deal of classical literature."

Public attendance

Over 10,000 people have supported the campaign online and nearly 20,000 have signed up to the campaign in total.

School News Bulletin

The RE.ACT campaign has been in the Independent Catholic News, Telegraph, Christianity Today and the Methodist Recorder to name a few.

Headmaster's comments

"RE.ACT is making good progress, with thousands of people signing up to protect RE in our secondary schools. And an increasing number of high profile voices from the Christianity community are supporting the campaign- however we need your help to achieve more".
