Headmaster's comments
Your support is vital if we are to save RE in our secondary schools. That is why we are asking you to consider signing the petition and to encourage your family and friends too.
We have had over 50,000 people sign up to the campaign, which is absolutely staggering. However we still need many more people to sign up if we are to reach the all important target of 100,000 names. Please consider signing up if you have not already or encourage your friends and family to as well.

New joiners
GP Taylor, Vicar and New York Times best selling author, has joined the campaign to get GCSE RE included in the English Baccalaureate. He said in support of the campaign:
"The reason why I want to support this campaign is because RE in schools creates broadminded tolerant members of society. It is a must that this important subject is part of the baccalaureate to bring integration and multicultural acceptance."

Public attendance
Churches have been rallying their congregations on this issue as well as individuals who have put their names to the petition.
We have received hundreds of letters & emails in support of the campaign and are grateful for the continued support to ensure RE put is put in it its rightful place - at the heart of humanities.
But we still need to achieve that all-important 100,000 target and your support can make all the difference!

School News Bulletin
Leading voices in favour of RE have been hitting the headlines, with the Baptist Times highlighting the campaign's work and the Church of England. GP Taylor has also spoken out about this: as has acclaimed children's author MG Harris on the BBC's Daily Politics Show.
At parliamentary level, over 70 MPs have put their name to the Early Day Motion 1375 Religious Education and the English Baccalaureate, but in order for it to resonate with Rt. Hon. Michael Gove at least 100 MPs are needed.

How can I help?
