Revd Dr Martyn Atkins, general secretary of the Methodist Church, has suggested  that "second-millennium denominationalism will become third-millennium monasticism". Is it time for us to stop being different from one another, and to rediscover community? Our own Phil Stone was quoted in a Church Times article about new monasticism in February 2011. Come and discover what new monasticism is all about and what it has to offer. Your speaker, Ben Edson, established Sanctus1 (an emerging church in Manchester city centre). He is Fresh Expressions missioner and curate of Brunswick in the Diocese of Manchester, and is currently researching the relationship between the emerging church and contemporary spirituality. He is a regular speaker at Greenbelt and other national events.

Half-Term Holiday – Genesis and Exodus

In the beginning was the Word – and the Word was dramatised! We’ll be featuring a selection of sketches and monologues from Genesis and Exodus (the greatest entrance and the biggest exit) including two full-length shows based on the first two books of the Bible. There will be a full children's and youth programme during this family holiday.
