Some recent stories:
We have been running a lunchtime Club in a local primary school, two children there were asked to fill in slips talking about Kidz Klub for a school display, on the slips one wrote… "I like coming to KK lunch club because 1) it is fair, 2)
I can be myself, 3) everyone listens to each other”. A year 4 girl wrote "I like coming to KK lunch club because it's where I can just be myself, have fun and learn about Jesus & God". How amazing that we get to do this for the kids!!!
At the end of one assembly, the Head teacher asked a girl who comes to Kidz Klub to come to the front and tell everyone why she comes. It was brilliant! She said it was "proper, proper fun" and everyone should come because you get to play games, win prizes, learn about God and make lots of friends!
News:
Kidz Klub Leeds are taking part in two prayer events this month, and would like to invite you to join with us. The first is a City Wide Prayer Gathering for the Children and Youth of Leeds. Together with LFIS, LYCN, Space and N:Fuse we are meeting at The Ashwood Centre (home of City Church), 44A Headingley Lane, Leeds, LS6 2EB on Saturday 7th May from 7.00-9.30pm. We want to create time and space to hear God’s heart for Leeds and the children/young people of the city.
Secondly, on Monday 9th May we will be taking part in a day of Prayer and Fasting for West Leeds, concluding with a prayer meeting in the evening. This has been organised by some of the Churches in West Leeds, and is for anyone who would like to come and pray for the area. We would love it if you would join us in this day. The evening prayer meeting will be held from 7:30-9pm at Bramley Baptist Church, Hough Lane, Bramley, LS13 3RD. Please consider joining in, to really pray for God’s heart in the West, for His kingdom to come there and for His direction to be clear.
Finally, we are still in desperate need for new volunteers for all of our Kidz Klubs and visiting teams. If you are interested at all in getting involved or visiting Kidz Klub to see what we do, please contact the Kidz Klub office on 0113 245 6533.
