Brief Joanna Update:
  May proved a very busy and pivotal month for Joanna, the Leeds-based organisation working with women wishing to exit prostitution and sustain a new lifestyle. Joanna became a charity in its own right and took on new Project Manager, Yvonne Hutchinson. Yvonne comes with a strong track record in the third sector and consults for the Council of Europe and the European Commission. She is also a volunteer with her own church’s street sex workers outreach project in Huddersfield. Chair of Joanna, Lucy Paxton said, “These are exciting times for Joanna and we’re looking to support more vulnerable women in the city and making an even greater impact further afield.”
The charity still needs more mature female volunteers who drive and have time in the day to befriend and support existing Joanna clients.
