Junction - Connecting with God and Others

Junction

The Junction – connecting with God and others

What is it?

The Junction is aimed primarily at reaching both the unchurched and dechurched within the Christ Church Armley parish and within the 18 to 30s age range. It is intended to be a night church outreach designed to present the gospel in contemporary and exciting ways. Apart from its evangelistic edge, it would provide an avenue for discipleship and community. Those who become part of The Junction would be encouraged, as deemed fit, to participate in the larger community at Christ Church.

Mission

The JUNCTION exists to convey the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the 18 to 30s generation in creative and supernatural ways of Love, Power and Wisdom to the end that individuals and their spheres of influence are totally transformed

How will it run?

The Junction is intended to run fortnightly. The venue would be set up to accommodate three activities simultaneously occurring. There would be a discussion corner with comfortable seating arrangement complimented with food and drinks. The venue should have a functional kitchen where meals can be prepared. There would be a ‘boiler room’; a prayer room where people who drop in could either be prayed for or allowed to encounter God by themselves. The third activity would be space for creative arts with good Christian music either being projected on a screen or through a music deck. Also on the night, testimonies would be shared either by guests or in-house folks and the Bible discussed.

In between fortnights, the Junction Team would be visiting attendees, planning and preparing for the meetings or running street ministry.
