Summer Holiday Programme
SU NE&Y Summer Holidays are fantastic opportunities for young people whatever their background to explore the Christian faith. There is something for every age range from 8-20 and for every stage of faith – be it going deeper at Geared for Growth or just starting out on a journey of faith at X:site. The full range of holidays can be found by clicking ‘more information’ below. Please let children and young people you have contact with know about them.

These holidays are also a great chance to serve God as part of a team. You will acquire new skills, see God at work and make new friends. There are needs particularly for head caterers and minibus drivers. If you want to serve on any of these holidays, please e-mail John Stephenson: johns@scriptureunion.org.uk

X:site, Teesside
For a while now we have been engaged in discussions about running X:site on Teesside. On Monday 27 June we held a vision evening for this and have received overwhelming backing from a range of churches across Teesside to move forwards with these plans. We are now seeking to put in the place the essentials that turn this dream into a reality.

Big Bible Challenge
In 2011 as we focus on 400 years of the KJV, many churches have been taking the E100 Challenge. This is 100 readings over twenty weeks to give people a grasp of the big story of the Bible. Well now there is the Big Bible Challenge – the same idea but for children aged 7-11. There are the same 5 readings per week but for each week there is also a picture with images from the 5 stories. The idea is that children or groups of children study the passages with an adult alongside them. There are activities and ideas to use together as we begin to grasp the big story of the Bible. Copies of the Big Bible challenge can be ordered from SU Mail Order.
