The People's Bible Tour - coming to Leeds in September
To celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the King James Version the Bible Society and Scottish Bible Society are putting on the People's Bible Tour. The aim of this Road Show is to encourage more people to read the Bible and also to recognise how this book has contributed to our history and culture. Members of the public will have the opportunity to contribute to the first ever digitally hand written edition of the Bible. The Tour is currently travelling around the country, locations include the Metro Centre in Newcastle, St John's Shopping centre Liverpool, Greenbelt Festival and Westminster Abbey. A number of celebrities including Prince Charles have written verses. The Tour is coming to Leeds on Sunday the 18th September and as well as asking churches to promote the event the organisers are looking for volunteers to help out.
