(Graffiti action at Summat 2009)
|
Many thanks to all those who are working to host workshops, stalls and activities at the event: the programme's beautifully varied, pretty darn fascinating, and almost full up! (Although there are still opportunities to get involved: see below.) Click here for the latest programme taster: new additions include visiting speaker Maurice Glasman (the outspoken and controversial 'guru' behind Blue Labour, and advisor to Ed Miliband), BBC Ethical Man Justin Rowlatt, and a 'human library'. Full programme listings available later in September.
Thanks also to our fantastic project team working (voluntarily / pro bono) with us to deliver the event. Special thanks this week to designer Gary Hanna for developing our new logo and brand - of which you'll be a lot more in the next couple of months...
And it's not too late to be involved! Read on...
* We're still very much looking for musicians, artists and creative folk who can perform and/or host activities at the Summat; please get in touch at
hello@t4p.org.uk to find out more.
* The innovative 'Leeds on Trial' community drama project (previously called 'Leeds: A Love Story?') are looking for actors and actresses to perform; rehearsals start in late September. Click here for full info.
* We need a load of volunteers to help us on the day!
Click here for further info and to get involved.
* And we're running the Summat on a shoestring budget - but are still falling short of what we need. If you believe in the Summat, please make a small (or big!) financial donation towards it at www.t4p.org.uk/giving. Many thanks.
So, once again,
click here to book your free place, watch
www.summat.org for further updates, please do spread the word (the more the merrier!) - and we look forward to seeing you there!
STOP PRESS!
If you can't wait until the main event, join our 'Mini Summat' on
