Make a Will Month - October 2011

For the second year, solicitors across Leeds have agreed to support St. Gemma’s Hospice by writing Wills and Codicils free of charge throughout October. Take the opportunity to put your affairs in order in exchange for a donation which will allow St. Gemma’s to continue providing vital care and services to local people.

There is no obligation to include St. Gemma’s in your Will but if you do choose to, any gift will be very much appreciated and will ensure that we can continue to provide a high level of care and support for people with life threatening illnesses, along with support for their families. The cost of caring for one in five of our patients is covered by gifts left in Wills and this has the added advantage of being tax free which can be a significant benefit to both your family and the charity.

Writing your Will now, means that you will have the power to decide how you wish your assets to be distributed after your death. If you die without a Will in place, your family may find that they have no control over everything you have worked hard for during your life.
