Project Spotlight: Life For The World Trust

Life For The World’s mission is to enhance addiction treatment and recovery through quality addictions training and project support, particularly in partnership with local churches and Christian community projects

Life For The World Trust (LFTW) have over 40 years of experience working in the field of addiction. Our Certificate Course in Substance Misuse and Counselling is the only University validated course to equip the Christian community in this field. The course embraces the Christian principles of LFTW and meets key DANOS (Drugs and Alcohol National Occupational Standards). LFTW also offer a Pastoral Training Initiative, training and equipping anyone with pastoral responsibility within the Church in the UK by offering either 1 or 2 days of quality training in different locations. LFTW have consistently found that many with pastoral responsibility feel inadequate when responding to the needs of those around them with issues to do with addiction; our training equips leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond appropriately, empowering others.

Life For The World have also recently developed a new package which gives Churches and Christian Community Projects the tools and support to establish effective Structured Day Recovery.
