Connect 11 - Our Response
'Connect' lived up to its name as over 200 people came from all over Leeds to talk, eat, dream, think, pray and learn together about social action within Leeds. The evening included an interactive presentation, the 'Scandal of Inequality', that demonstrates the gross inequalities that exist within our city of Leeds. We considered how this is bad news for everyone in the city, before thinking about how the good news of the Christian story imagines that another world is possible where inequality is abolished. The challenge was simple - 'What if we sought to reduce inequality within our city today?' The evening included opportunity for people to hear each other’s stories and learn about many of the organisations that are already making a difference within the city.
