Starter For Ten: Training weekends at Scargill House

StarterFor10Flyers

Dear Colleague,
Please find enclosed a flyer about 2 training weekends we are putting on at Scargill at
the end of January 2012.

We are hoping this opportunity will whet the appetite of people within your
congregation to try something new in 2012. It may be that your church has
highlighted one of these areas as an emphasis for the next year. We are pleased to
announce that the speakers for each of the 6 streams are experienced in their field
and would love to encourage people.

Starter for Ten 1 – Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd January:

A. How to start a Healing Service – Phil Stone (Director of Scargill Movement)
B. How to start ‘Messy Church’ – Jan Hesselwood (Primary Teacher)
C. How to start an Enquirers Course – Bishop John Finney

Starter for Ten 2 – Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January:

A. How to create a Welcoming Church – Phil and Di Stone (Scargill Movement)
B. How to introduce Fresh Expressions – Ben Edson (Manchester Missioner)
C. How to start Youth Ministry – Susie Mapledoram (Manchester Diocesan
Youth Officer)

Our standard adult residential rate for these weekends is £105 full board. However,
we would like to offer you a bursary reduction of 10% for 1 delegate per stream
attending from your church.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Scargill Office (01756 761236) for
further details. We look forward to welcoming you to Scargill in January.
With prayers for a blessed Christmas Season,
Rev Phil Stone
Director of Scargill Movement
