Kidz Klub Leeds works with children from some of the most deprived areas in the UK.
We believe every child deserves to be valued, every child deserves a future.
What is Kidz Klub Leeds?
Running for over 11 years, our relevant and engaging children’s work reaches over 2,000 children a week across inner city Leeds, through Community Work, Kidz Klub Sessions, a Home Visiting Programme and Schools Work. Kidz Klub Leeds is a cross-denominational project supported by local churches and Christian communities all over Leeds and elsewhere. We see children develop a relationship with God, discover the best that’s inside them and find hope for the future.
How can I get involved?
Kidz Klubs: Our weekly Klubs: part Sunday school part Saturday morning children’s TV. Kidz Klub Sessions happen in different forms all over Leeds:
· Tuesdays 11.30am-1.30pm in Armley
· Tuesdays 4pm-7pm in Beeston
· Thursdays 4pm-7pm in Middleton
· Fridays 11.30am-1.30pm in Bramley
· Saturdays 8.30am-12.30pm in the City Centre
Join one of these teams. Klubs typically include a time of praise and worship, then games, then bible lessons and object lessons the children can apply to themselves and their lives. Kidz Klub Sessions have to be seen to be believed, and are hugely fun for everyone involved.
Home visits: We believe Jesus said to go out to people, to meet people where they are at: and so all children who attend Kidz Klub Sessions are visited at home each week. This brings everything from the Klubs into the children’s home. Visiting pairs or teams consistently visit the same children each week, building strong relationships. A visiting round typically takes between 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours and is a central part of who Kidz Klub is and what we do.
Schools: We have a vibrant Schools Work team, working in over 34 inner city primary schools across Leeds. We deliver assemblies, run lunchtime clubs and transition clubs for children leaving primary school. Join in the dramas, object lessons and games that we do in assemblies, or go deeper into life topics and relationship with God in the lunchtime and transition clubs. Being part of the schools team will take up to an hour a week.
Year out: We also offer a Kidz Klub year out programme where you will have the chance to join the Kidz Klub staff team with a set number of hours and a set programme for your development. A Kidz Klub year out can be part of a break from a career, a ‘gap’ year or in addition to other work or study.
If you feel you are unable to do any of the above do still get in touch, there are other ways you can be involved.
