Leeds Steiner School Application
Leeds Steiner School is applying to open a new school following the Steiner curriculum in September 2013, as part of the Government's Free Schools programme.
Open mornings are held on the first Saturday of every month, 10 - 11am, at Beechtree Steiner Initiative, Old Tetley Hall, Moor Road, Headingley, LS6 4BL. The next one is on 5th May - all are welcome.
Leeds Steiner School is currently a vision of parents, friends, trustees and staff at Beechtree Steiner Initiative, a registered charity that has 11 years experience of running pre-school education and parent and child classes in Leeds. Under the Government's Free School programme, we are applying to open a mainstream school in North Leeds for children of all abilities aged 4 - 16. It will follow the internationally recognised Steiner curriculum already taught at one state academy in England. The curriculum is broad and balanced, and teaching integrates art and science, theoretical and practical learning to develop excellence in numeracy and literacy and support the whole child's development.
Our school will open with Reception through to Year Three, and then add an additional Reception class each year. Studies will culminate at 16 in a core of GCSE subjects taught alongside the Steiner curriculum.
For more information come to our open morning, visit www.leedssteinerschool.co.uk or text 'school' to 0755 001 2819 and we will call you back. |
