Applying to LCCT
LCCT exists to release people’s dreams and visions for mission in the city of Leeds. Over the last 10 years we have done this by acting as a ‘seedbed’, helping people to develop their initiatives until they are able to set up as their own entity. LCCT has recently had an external evaluation of its work and practises carried out, and this has lead to some thinking about the future shape and direction of the trust. Until definitive decisions are made on how LCCT will operate and where its focus will be going forward, we have introduced some temporary funding criteria and processes. This means that LCCT will only currently be able to give out external grants and will not be taking on any new internal projects.
LCCT has never been about merely giving funding, and we will continue to be relational and supportive to those who approach us, however until decisions are made about our ongoing focus, we will seek to help those starting new projects think creatively about finding a home elsewhere (i.e. in host congregations or within other more established projects).
External Grants
LCCT will consider making grants of upto £5000 to projects in Leeds that fit with our vision and values, and Support Criteria. We are currently not able to offer to be a legal structure or guarantee any developmental support to applicants. The amount of money that can be given in grants is limited, and applications must meet our Support Criteria to be considered by the LCCT trustees.
Application deadlines are every six weeks and decisions are made on a quarterly basis. Once an application that meets our Support Criteria is received, it is taken to a trustees meeting (which take place every six weeks), two trustees are then assigned to meet with the applicant and they bring their thoughts back to the decision making meetings once a quarter. Small Grant applications of upto £1500 can be considered in a shorter time-scale and inbetween meetings.
