Sidelined: 9 stories of hope from the margins of Leeds has been produced to raise awareness of small church-led social action initiatives working with some of the city’s most vulnerable people. This DVD features 9 stories of people who have benefitted from the services and support of these small, grassroots, church-led projects. (Watch it now)
These projects work within the wider context of the larger, more well-known Christian organisations working in this field, such as St George’s Crypt, Teen Challenge and Caring For Life, as well as many other statutory and voluntary sector agencies. Together, all these initiatives contribute to serving people with particular needs in Leeds, such as people seeking asylum, who are homeless or drug-dependent and women working in prostitution.
