Welcome to the website of Leeds Christian Community Trust.
LCCT is here to enable, encourage and support Christians, working in unity and in mission, to pursue their dreams and visions and make a positive difference in Leeds.
We do this by providing a legal and support structure to allow projects to focus on what they're passionate about, without forcing them to deal with the bureaucratic pressures normally associated with setting up a new initiative. In addition to this we are able to provide 'seed funding' and development support to help those with the vision and initiative to do what they need to do to transform the city.
We hope you can find everything that you need from your visit, if not please contact us.
Have a look around and see the ways in which the projects we support are impacting the city of Leeds.
A positive word from one of our funders...
The Manuel Bravo Project, one of the projects that LCCT has supported in getting off the ground, was recently successful in a major funding application to Comic Relief. The feedback we received from the Comic Relief assessors was a real affrimation of the 'seedbed' model that LCCT has fostered:
“Comic Relief has recently funded the Manuel Bravo Project, under the umbrella of Leeds Christian Community Trust. Manuel Bravo is a very small project which offers legal advice to refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds. It operates on a modest budget and benefits greatly from the central services and subsidised office space offered by LCCT. We were impressed by LCCT’s community development approach to nurturing new ideas, offering central services and seed funding, helping them grow into sound projects and eventually move towards independence. With this secure base Manuel Bravo can build its service and management committee autonomously and at the same time get good support with financial management. It makes good sense to us; we can be confident that our grant is well-managed, restricted to that project and accounted for separately within the overall LCCT accounts.”
