Who are we?
Joanna is a Leeds-based Christian outreach and support project that works with vulnerable and hard to reach women who are trapped in street prostitution and life controlling addiction. We are also a member of Beyond the Street (formerly known as the National Christian Alliance on Prostitution (NCAP) www.ncapuk.org). As such we share resources and good practice with approximately 50 agencies across the UK.
We are part of the Safer Leeds Prostitution Case Conference (a local multi-agency joint working forum) and we regularly liaise with the West Yorkshire Police, Probation Services, the Crime Reduction Initiative, Community Drugs Services and other agencies.
Mission Statement
Through practical and emotional support, befriending and mentoring we aim to empower our service users to exit prostitution and sustain a new life.
